What’s better than a good movie? A good movie with delicious snacks and a whole lot of joy! Universal Robina Corporation (URC) started the year on a high note by spreading happiness through its Share-lebrate Joy UR Way event. Teaming up with Robinsons Supermarket and Metro Supermarket, URC gave kids a magical movie experience—complete with fun activities, special surprises, and of course, their favorite URC treats!
The event brought together kids from SOS Children’s Village, Norfil Foundation, Grace to Be Born, and House of Refuge for a day filled with laughter, energy, and adventure. Held at Ayala Center in Cebu and Opus Mall in Quezon City last January, the kids got to enjoy a movie screening and a little extra fun before the show even started!
Before diving into the cinematic magic, the little moviegoers kicked things off with the Hot Potato Hustle game and danced their hearts out with URC’s super cute mascots—Goodday Gogo in Cebu, and Goodday Ori & Cloud 9 Captain Choco in Manila. The excitement in the air was contagious!
Then, the big moment arrived—it was time for Mufasa: The Lion King! The film, which tells the backstory of Simba’s legendary father, had the kids completely hooked. The stunning animation, catchy music, and heartwarming tale of bravery had everyone cheering for Mufasa. And when asked about their favorite character? No surprises there—Mufasa was the unanimous MVP!
“I love how Mufasa values his home and family so much,” shared Kurt, one of the young attendees. Zyra chimed in, “He’s so brave and strong! He always protects his family and friends.”
As the credits rolled, the excitement didn’t stop—URC made sure every child left with goodie bags packed with all-time faves like Jack ‘n Jill Knots, Roller Coaster, Nips, C2, Goodday, Cloud 9, and more! Because what’s a movie day without snacks, right?
